The owners of a traditional 1960's four bedroom ranch desired that their  family home be updated to welcome their adult kids back with the grand kids.

These clients had lived all over the world and were finally home for good. Their 1955 ranch home however needed improvements. The original home had a small galley kitchen off the dining room which did not allow for entertaining and cooking with friends. An all-encompassing addition that would celebrate cooking, wine and life was needed that would feature  the southerly light and beauty of their gardens.

A waterfront view and modern living was found just blocks from their former town home. The builder’s finishes and details were fine but custom upgrades were desired.

After a long search an antique gem in the heart of the historic district was found on a quiet street.  The exterior was refreshed and improved to meet the architectural review board requirements for historic renovations. The interior went further with upgrades for a modern lifestyle with an open floor plan removing walls, widening openings and increased volume by exposing the hidden beautiful handhewn beams of 1870’s.

An antique 2 story apartment takes on a fresh new life with updated living spaces, finishes, fixtures and fittings. Moldings, mill work, new lighting and custom built ins and custom furnishings were added to suit the period style of this home with all the contemporary features of quality residential living.
